Terms and Conditions for ATV Rental at Fur ATV Rental

  • Reservations can only be made by contacting us via phone, email, or the contact form.
  • The reservation is only valid once you have received a confirmation via SMS.
  • Any changes to a reservation must be arranged as soon as possible after booking. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate any new requests.
  • In the event of cancellation less than 4 days before the rental period, a fee of DKK 500 will be charged.
  • Payment can be made in cash or by card upon collection of the ATV, or at the time of booking.

The current rental prices are listed on the Price Page and include the following:

  • Instruction and safety briefing
  • Helmets
  • Delivered with a full tank of fuel (any additional fuel consumption is at the renter’s expense)
  • Cleaning
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your reserved rental time. We will inspect the ATV together with you before departure.
  • The briefing includes thorough instructions on how to operate the ATV and important safety considerations.
  • We will also inspect the ATV together with the customer for any existing damage or defects. A damage and defect report will be presented.
  • If the ATV is returned more than 15 minutes after the end of the rental period, a fee of DKK 500 per commenced hour will be charged.
  • Upon return, the ATV will be inspected for damage and defects. The renter is liable for any damage or defects that occur during the rental period. Comprehensive insurance is included for our ATVs; however, the renter is responsible for an excess/deductible of DKK 5,000 per claim, or the actual cost of the damage if this amount is lower.
  • All operation of the ATV is at the renter’s own risk. Fur ATV Rental cannot be held liable for the renter’s use of the vehicle.
  • The vehicle must not be operated under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • The vehicle may only be operated by the driver(s) registered at the time the rental agreement is concluded.
  • All registered drivers must present a valid driving licence of at least Category B when collecting the vehicle.
  • All applicable traffic laws and regulations must be observed.
  • Children over the age of 5 years may be carried on the passenger seat. Children under 5 years of age are not permitted on the vehicle.
  • It is strictly prohibited to drive on private property, fields, protected nature areas, or coastal dunes.
  • Driving through water and streams is permitted up to a maximum depth of 35 cm, or until the water reaches the ATV’s footrests.
  • Driving in salt water is prohibited.
  • It is not permitted to leave the island of Fur with the rented vehicle; the ATV must remain on Fur at all times.
  • All driving is undertaken at the renter’s own responsibility.
  • Please show consideration and respect for your surroundings.

(e.g. driving in circles/spinning the vehicle) If the vehicle is damaged as a result of such behaviour, a charge of DKK 5,000–25,000, plus the insurance deductible and applicable VAT, will be imposed.

In the event of any damage or mechanical breakdown, the lessor must be contacted immediately at +45 20878598 or +45 28188018 to agree on the next steps. We cannot guarantee a replacement vehicle, but we will work together to find a suitable solution.

Our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking devices for theft prevention and to assist in investigating any potential violations of the rental agreement.

  • The renter is fully responsible for all costs arising from any breach of the rental agreement, rules, or applicable laws.
  • In the event of a fine or penalty notice, an administrative fee of DKK 200 will be charged for handling the matter.
  • If the rented vehicle is confiscated by the authorities, the renter shall be fully liable for the lessor’s losses, including the cost of replacing the vehicle and any loss of revenue.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the District Court of Viborg (Retten i Viborg) as the agreed venue.
